2025 Vocational Training Council (VTC) Student Sharing WorkshopVocational Training Council (VTC) invited us to conduct an experience sharing session with students on 2 July 2025.
Led by HKICM Honorary President, Cr Daniel H. T. Shum, Young Member Committee Chair, Cr HUNG Chun Man, and Deputy Chair, Cr CHAN Chui Ping, the delegate shared their experiences, which ranged from academic achievements to career development. The aim of this experience sharing session was to help students explore their interests and aspirations in the construction industry.
Through this collaboration, we joined hands with VTC to uncover the students’ potential and prospective career path. Just as a seed requires care to flourish, we believe that by providing guidance and inspiration, they can find their paths forwards.

2025 VTC Engineering Discipline Project ExhibitionIt was an excellent arrangement by Vocational Training Council (VTC) for the Engineering Discipline Project Exhibition held on 27-28 June 2025.
The HKICM is honoured to be invited for the sharing section to the Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education (IVE) Engineering Discipline. Our Young Member Committee Deputy Chairman, Cr CHAN Chui Ping, delivered a speech to the students in a topic ‘’Introduction and the career path of Construction Managers’‘.
By introduction of Construction Works, sharing the roles of Construction Managers & the career path of being a Construction Managers, we are delighted to leverage our professionalism to cultivate future calibre and extend their insights for their future career development.

2025 Student Talk at Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education (Kwai Chung)Young Members Committee Chair Cr HUNG Chun Man, Deputy Chair Cr CHAN Chui Ping and Member Cr Mak Tsz Ho were invited to the Engineering Discipline of Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education (IVE Engineering) on 25 June 2025 to present a sharing session on being Construction Managers.
Participation was enthusiastic about the job experience sharing & the career developments of the speakers. Followed by discussion with students about their aspirations after graduation.
It’s an overwhelming experience to cultivate the future calibre of the construction industry. Our sincere gratitude to the organisers.

2025 Meeting with Development BureauHKICM President Cr Alfred TANG with Office Bearers held a high-level meeting with Development Bureau (DevB) on 23 Jun 2025.
Constructive and informative exchanges were made between the two organisations on the proposed amendment to the Technical Memorandum for Site Supervision 2009 (TM) and Code of Practice for Site Supervision 2009 (2024 Edition) (Supervision Code) related to the Buildings Ordinance (BO) Review.
DevB delegates attended the meeting include Mr David LAM, JP, Under Secretary for Development, Mrs Elina CHAN, Deputy Secretary for Development (Planning and Lands), Mr Sam YEUNG, Assistant Secretary (Building).
HKICM delegates attended the meeting include President Cr Alfred TANG; Immediate Past President Cr Terence MANG, Vice Presidents Cr CHAN Chi-man, and Cr Dick LI; Honorary Secretary Cr Ricky LI, Honorary Treasurer Cr Perry LO; Buildings Department Committee Chair Cr Chris CHUNG and Secretary General Ernest Leung.
