2025 Student Talk at Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education (Kwai Chung)Young Members Committee Chair Cr HUNG Chun Man, Deputy Chair Cr CHAN Chui Ping and Member Cr Mak Tsz Ho were invited to the Engineering Discipline of Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education (IVE Engineering) on 25 June 2025 to present a sharing session on being Construction Managers.
Participation was enthusiastic about the job experience sharing & the career developments of the speakers. Followed by discussion with students about their aspirations after graduation.
It’s an overwhelming experience to cultivate the future calibre of the construction industry. Our sincere gratitude to the organisers.

2025 Meeting with Development BureauHKICM President Cr Alfred TANG with Office Bearers held a high-level meeting with Development Bureau (DevB) on 23 Jun 2025.
Constructive and informative exchanges were made between the two organisations on the proposed amendment to the Technical Memorandum for Site Supervision 2009 (TM) and Code of Practice for Site Supervision 2009 (2024 Edition) (Supervision Code) related to the Buildings Ordinance (BO) Review.
DevB delegates attended the meeting include Mr David LAM, JP, Under Secretary for Development, Mrs Elina CHAN, Deputy Secretary for Development (Planning and Lands), Mr Sam YEUNG, Assistant Secretary (Building).
HKICM delegates attended the meeting include President Cr Alfred TANG; Immediate Past President Cr Terence MANG, Vice Presidents Cr CHAN Chi-man, and Cr Dick LI; Honorary Secretary Cr Ricky LI, Honorary Treasurer Cr Perry LO; Buildings Department Committee Chair Cr Chris CHUNG and Secretary General Ernest Leung.

2025 Hong Kong Metropolitan University (HKMU) Seminar “Digital Twin: Adoption and Training Challenges in Construction Management and Surveying”HKICM Honorary Secretary Cr Kent CHAN, attended Hong Kong Metropolitan University (HKMU) Seminar “Digital Twin: Adoption and Training Challenges in Construction Management and Surveying” on 30th May 2025 (Friday). The seminar took place at Lecture Theatre, Jockey Club Campus, Hong Kong Metropolitan University, Hong Kong SAR. And HKICM is one of the supporting organisations for this meaningful seminar. Cr Chan delivered an insightful presentation on “Practicing Digital and Smart Construction Management in Hong Kong”, amongst other distinguished local and overseas speakers.The seminar was well received with over 180 registered participants (on-line and in-person) coming from industry stakeholders, professional bodies and students.
