Sharing session with Architectural Services Department

HKICM President Cr Terence Mang and Council Member Cr Phyllis Chen attended the Sharing session with the Architectural Services Department at Queensway Government Offices.

Thank you Cr Eddie Yeung, HKICM RCM/RCS Committee Chairman for the presentation on the topic “MiC Construction Method of HKU WCH Student Residence Project” which was well received by 159 departmental staff apart from the personal support by Director Edward Tse and President Terence Mang and Cr Phyllis Chen.

Courtesy visit to Architectural Services Department

HKICM President Cr Terence MANG with Office Bearers and PR & Liaison Committee Chairman paid a courtesy visit to Architectural Services Department (ArchSD) on 17 August 2023.

Greeted by Director TSE Cheong-wo, Edward, JP, Deputy Director LI Kiu-yin, Michael, Assistant Director CHOY Chun-chuen, Chief Technical Adviser CHAN Chi-wai, Eric, and Technical Secretary/Contractor Management WAN Koon-piu. President MANG presented an update on the Institute with features on the competence and growing recognition of the Registered Construction Manager professional qualification. Director TSE gave an impressive overview of ArchSD, focuses on the latest development on their quality, environmental, occupational health and safety management system to enhance performance and effectiveness.

Constructive and informative exchanges were made between the two organisations on electronic submission hub, NEC adoption, site safety, and building materials acceptance etc. It’s expected that close collaboration and working relationship between HKICM and ArchSD will be reinforced to tackle future challenges in the industry.

香港營造師學會副會長李福沛博士營造師、理事會成員黃珮雯營造師及李冠霆營造師於2023年8月9日在惠州假日酒店出席惠州裝配式建造供港聯盟揭牌典禮。惠州裝配式建造供港聯盟是經惠州市政府屬下的住建局育成。隨著香港建築界發展的契機，惠州市政府組織市內經他們認可的企業機構成聯盟，務求在人材或物料，特別是MIC項目，爭取成為支援香港建築業發展的第一大後方。
