Green Hospital Construction Practices in Mainland China

21 April 2026

Green hospital construction has become a popular topic worldwide, including in Mainland China. Due to high restrictions on medical infections, strict safety standards, and complex construction systems, constructing a green hospital presents significant challenges. However, the need for such facilities still exists because of the high energy costs in hospitals, and the benefits of energy savings are evident.

The speaker will share various ways to build green hospitals across several aspects: the green environment, building service systems, green technology, BIM application, and green construction technology, as well as the practices of these technologies in Mainland China, and hope this can provide participants with insights into green construction in Hong Kong.
