【FULL】Site Visit to Black Point Power Station

An introduction on Safe Systems of Work (SSoW) used in CLP to manage work or projects from the planning stage through to execution and monitoring in order to ensure that relevant hazards are identified, with effective control measures are in place to secure the safety of all working parties.

To elaborate more, the briefing will highlight in the following:

  • SSoW in CLP
  • Permit to Work system application in power plant
  • Training and Authorization of Personnel for Operational Duties

 

Some highlights of the Black Point Power Station (BPPS) site visit and presentation are listed below:

  • Introduction of CLP Group and CLP Power generation businesses
  • Introduction of BPPS, Combine Cycle Gas Turbine (CCGT) technologies and the latest H-class generation units D1 & D2
  • Introduction of different fuel supply sources for BPPS, including Floating Storage & Regasification Unit (FSRU)
  • Introduction of some renewable initiatives
  • Visit to Unit D1 Viewing Gallery to see the actual D1 plant
