The construction programme of most projects in Hong Kong are short and tight. Adoption of smart construction technologies, digitised safety, progress and quality monitoring systems, definitely help expedite progress and improve quality for construction. The speakers will share the concerns and considerations especially in time and cost aspects involved when planning, selecting and adopting these technologies.
Staircase Pressurisation System and Smoke Extraction System are common fire services installation in commercial and hotel buildings in Hong Kong. However, testing and commissioning (T&C) of these systems are complicated and impose great impedance to the tight and imminent construction programme. As a main contractor, the speakers will share their understanding of systems, builder works requirement and experience of dealing with T&C so as to minimise the effect to the construction programme.
