The new Hospital Authority Supporting Services Centre (HASSC) is the phase 2 development of the North Lantau Hospital (NLTH) project, and will comprise several hospital supporting service facilities, including central laundry Centre, central food production unit (CPU) for providing patient food service and an information technology (IT) corporate data centers and central emergency stores for critical personal protective equipment (PPE) as well as key linen items to support the public hospitals and the future planned expansion of its clinical services to meet the heavy demand for public healthcare services.
The visit will begin with a presentation on the challenges encountered during construction of the superstructure, followed by a site visit to look at the special Building Services System for this proposed new Supporting Services Centre, which are designed to increase the system resilience and providing extra redundancy for fulfilling the critical user’s requirement. The design has incorporated the smart and innovative technologies to strive for carbon neutrality and building sustainability.

Participants are responsible for bringing their own safety footwear. Safety helmets and safety vests will be provided. Sleeveless or tank top shirts, short pants, sweatpants, dresses, skirts, sneakers, sandals, high-heeled shoes, and open-toed shoes are not permitted for this visit. HKICM will not arrange for insurance policy for the participants, participants may consider taking out their own insurance policy to cover their own risks. |
