Programme Highlight

Central Kowloon Route (“CKR”) is a dual three-lane carriageway with a total length of 4.7km, linking Yau Ma Tei Interchange of West Kowloon with Kai Tak Development Area and road network of Kowloon Bay, forming a trunk road across central Kowloon. Upon commissioning, the journey time between Yau Ma Tei and Kowloon Bay during peak hours is expected to be shortened from 30 minutes to about 5 minutes only.

CKR is divided into 8 works contracts. Other than the first four works contracts adopting conventional Government conditions of contract (GCC), the remaining four works contracts (Kai Tak East, Central Tunnel, Buildings, Electrical and Mechanical Works and Remaining Works contracts adopt NEC ECC Option C.

In addition, to echo “Construction 2.0”, CKR as one of the pioneers in innovative technologies within construction industry, introduce and implement various innovative management system and construction methods to uplift the efficiency and sustainability of the industry, increase productivity, enhancing supervision and quality assurance, improve site safety and reduce environmental impacts

Remarks:1. Gather and dismiss at CKR-CLC (address: 12, Long Yuet Street, To Kwa Wan. (Opposite to Wei Chien Court, Block H, Wyler Gardens).
2. PPE (safety helmet & reflective vest) will be provided on site by RSS. Participants should prepare their own safety shoes.
3. Transportation between visit points will be provided by CKR contract cars unless specified otherwise.
4. Adverse weather arrangement:
(a) Shower – The visit will be still held and an umbrella will be provided for each guest during the visit. Umbrellas will be placed in CLC
5. Dress code: comfortable for site visit.

  1. This is an online pre-registration only and the seat reserved will only be confirmed by an e-mail sent to the successful registrant in due course upon receipt of the registration fee.
  2. The talk will be conducted online via Zoom. Successful registrants will be notified separately via email with the meeting ID in due course to the online event .
