Brief details of the talk
Owing to the shortage of quantity surveyors, the industry needs to enhance the efficiency of quantity surveying works. Therefore, applying the new technology onto the QS’s works is critical for tasks completed in a more effective manner. It is the new era for our young QS talents in exploring and applying the new tech in costing, estimating, measurement and contracting. In fact, it is a door of opportunity for the QS to further develop in our professional. The speaker will share with his experience in applying the BIM, 5D, internet, IOT, data management, AI and cloud computing. Cases are also shared and the talk is aimed at to trigger our thinking with the new mindset in the QS professional.

Limited number of seats with social distancing is available at the Surveyors Learning Centre.
Participants will be denied entry to the Surveyors Learning Centre if they have been travelling abroad, or have been in direct contact with someone who has tested positive for COVID-19, or have any symptoms of COVID-19 (including but not limited to fever, cough, shortness of breath, breathing difficulty, sudden loss of taste or smell and/or sore throat) in the last 14 days, or have been confirmed with COVID-19 or undergoing compulsory quarantine or medical surveillance arrangements of the HKSAR Department of Health.
Participants are required to wear a surgical mask at all times at the Surveyors Learning Centre.
Eating and drinking is not allowed at the Surveyors Learning Centre.
Disinfection service has been arranged at the Surveyors Learning Centre (comprising the Lecture Room, Meeting Room 1, Board Room, Library and Meeting Room 2).
