2022 Joint Seminar “The Northern Metropolis Development Strategy – Vision and Actions”Seminar “The Northern Metropolis Development Strategy – Vision and Actions” jointly organised by HKICM, Hong Kong Institute of Architects (HKIA), and The Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB) and successfully held at the Multi-purpose Hall, Zero Carbon Building, Kowloon Bay on 13 June 2022. The Northern Metropolis Development Strategy was published together with the Policy Address 2021 on 6 October 2021. Commentaries regarded the Development Strategy as “ground-breaking” with its “Twin Cities, Three Circles” Hong Kong/Shenzhen cross-boundary spatial framework and “visionary” with its objective of making a complete innovation and technology industry eco-system which will become the second economic engine for Hong Kong. Professor K.K. LING, SBS was invited as a speaker who made a fantastic presentation on the vision focusing on the proposed actions of the Northern Metropolis Development Strategy. This is too important a strategic project for Hong Kong that would forge a cross-boundary spatial framework to foster Hong Kong and Shenzhen integration, and to create spatial opportunities for the making of a complete innovation and technology industry eco-system for Hong Kong by developing Hung Shui Kiu / Lau Fau Shan area as a modern service industry centre, making the San Tin Technopole as Hong Kong’s Silicon Valley, and creating possibilities for advanced manufacturing development at Heung Yuen Wai area, followed by a Q&A session. HKICM President Conrad FUNG, HKIA Vice President Thomas CHEUNG and CIOB Chair H.F. WONG jointly presented a Certificate of Appreciation to Professor K.K. LING, SBS. They together with HKICM Immediate Past President Tony ZA, Vice President Billy LEE, Terence MANG and Dick LI, Honorary Secretary Simon LEUNG and Ricky LI and Honorary Treasurer Perry LO, Council and Co-opted members took a group photo. |

2022 ”CIC – See What I See” LuncheonHKICM President Cr Conrad Fung, Immediate Past President Cr Tony Za, Vice President Cr Terence Mang, Cr Dick Li, Hon Secretary Cr Simon Leung, and Cr Ricky Li attended the“CIC – See What I See” Luncheon on 2 June 2022 at JW Marriott Hotel Hong Kong. The Guest of Honour, Ms. Winnie HO, Director of Architectural Services also delivered a keynote presentation themed “Turning Impossible to Possible: A Case Study of the Construction of Community Isolation Units”.

The briefing session aims at promoting and encouraging the wider adoption of innovative construction technologies through CITF subsidy and measures to address manpower issues in the construction industry.

2022 香港營造師學會聯同香港建築業協會及香港魯班廣悦堂 捐出六萬元超市和餐飲現金券贈基層及弱勢社群本港第五波新冠疫情仍然嚴峻,市面防疫物資及生活用品價格波動。有見及此,香港營造師學會再次聯同香港建築業協會及香港魯班廣悦堂合共捐出六萬元超市和餐飲現金券予香港單親協會,為有需要人士提供支援。 香港營造師學會會長馮國強表示:「新冠肺炎疫情持續,不少家庭需要額外開支補充防疫及生活必需品,基層及弱勢社群所承受的經濟壓力更甚,香港營造師學會對此身同感受,希望透過這次捐贈支援弱勢社群,協助社區渡過難關。」 香港建築業協會會長鄧智宏則表示:「疫情未見緩和,三會會長就防疫及地區支援工作方面交換意見後,希望以『同愛‧共享‧共存』為口號,為基層送上關懷。」 香港魯班廣悦堂主席鍾冠文表示:「我們很高興再次可以與香港營造師學會和香港建築業協會合作,在疫情嚴峻的時刻為弱勢送暖。」 三會理事會代表於3月14日探訪香港單親協會並進行簡單的捐贈儀式,支援弱勢社群。 |
