HKICM President Cr Conrad Fung attended the Registered Specialist Trade Contractors Scheme Leadership Summit 2022 with the theme of “Ignite Innovative Skills” on 24 November 2022. Leaders of registered specialist trade contractors and HKIC representatives share views on the technological transformation of human resources, and technologies integrating with specialist skills to demonstrate modern construction techniques in order to capitalize on future opportunities.

HKICM President Cr Conrad Fung attended the VTC’s Building, Civil Engineering, and Built Environment Training Board – Photo Competition 2021 Award Presentation Ceremony cum “Your Dream Home” – BIM Competition 2022 Kick-off Ceremony on 19 November 2022 at IVE (Tsing Yi) Campus. HKICM also is the co-organiser of the Building, Civil Engineering, and Built Environment Photo Competition 2021. Congratulations to all awardees!

“Design for Future Build for Life” Campaign Launch

HKICM President Cr Conrad Fung attended Design for Future Build for Life” Campaign Launch on 14 November 2022 at Zero Carbon Park. The CIC, with the support of the DEVB, and in partnership with professional and trade institutions of the construction industry launched this joint promotion and publicity campaign with a view to enhancing public understanding of the professionalism, contribution, and prospect of the industry, and attracting our next generation to join the industry and realize their potential.

The Hong Kong Institute of Surveyors Annual Dinner 2022

HKICM Hon President Cr Peter Ng, President Cr Conrad Fung, and Vice President Cr Dick Li attended The Hong Kong Institute of Surveyors Annual Dinner 2022 on 8 November 2022 at Grand Hyatt Hong Kong. The annual dinner provides an excellent opportunity for participants to mingle, network, and discuss housing and land issues in a relaxed but safe atmosphere.

HKMU Innovative Construction Day 2022

HKICM Immediate past president, Cr Za Wai Gin Tony attended HKMU Innovative Construction Day 2022 on 5 November 2022 at Hong Kong Metropolitan University. He was also cordially invited to be the guest speaker to deliver the topic “Navigating the Metaverse – The Final Frontier of Construction Management” in Hong Kong Construction Management as HKICM is one of the key stakeholders in HKMU.

Construction Safety Summit 2022

HKICM President Cr Conrad Fung and Vice President Cr Billy Lee attended Construction Safety Summit 2022 on 4 November 2022 at Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. The Summit 2022 gathers leaders of key construction industry stakeholders to offer wisdom and jointly map out new directions for enhancing construction safety and safety management culture. The Summit 2022 includes a “Safety Charter” Signing Ceremony with all participating organizations to signify the safety commitment of the industry.

CIC – See What I See Luncheon

HKICM President Cr Conrad Fung attended “CIC – See What I See Luncheon” on 3 November 2022 at JW Marriott Hotel Hong Kong. Mr. LAM Sai-hung, Secretary for Transport and Logistics discussed the new development of Hong Kong’s future transport network by sea, land and air, the role of the construction industry in related projects, and how such development can enhance Hong Kong’s interconnectivity among the Greater Bay Area and with the world, supporting the advancement for the Hong Kong logistics industry.
