2023 Courtesy visit to Buildings DepartmentHKICM President Cr Terence MANG with Office Bearers and PR & Liaison Committee Chairman paid a courtesy visit to Buildings Department (BD) on 31 May 2023.
Greeted by Director YU Po-mei, Clarice, JP, Deputy Director HO Chun-hung, JP, Chief Structural Engineer TANG Hung-wai, Benny, and Technical Secretary/Building, Fiona TONG. President MANG presented an update on the Institute with features on the competence and growing recognition of the Registered Construction Manager professional qualification. Director YU gave an impressive overview of BD, focuses on the latest regulation and standards on the building control system alongside with the advancement in technology as well as the practice and needs of the industry and public aspiration.
Constructive and informative exchanges were made between the two organisations on electronic submission hub, BIM application, site safety, and contractor registration etc. It’s expected that close collaboration and working relationship between HKICM and BD will be reinforced to tackle future challenges in the industry.
HKICM delegates attending the visit include President Cr Terence MANG; Vice Presidents Cr Perry LO, Cr Dick LI, Cr Billy LEE; Honorary Secretary Cr Ricky LI, Cr Alfred TANG; Honorary Treasurer Cr CHAN Chi-man; PR & Liaison Committee Chairman Cr Kent CHAN; and Secretary General Ernest Leung.   |

2023 第二屆大灣區工程師論壇香港營造師學會協辦的第二屆大灣區工程師論壇，於香港會議展覽中心圓滿成功舉辦。感謝孟家榮會長、李德康副會長、羅偉揚副會長及陳智敏義務司庫代表學會出席開幕式及工程師論壇。
今次論壇主題為「工程創新 灣通世界」，羅偉揚副會長及陳智敏義務司庫代表香港營造師學會參與分論壇訪談活動，在分論壇二：「創聯國際——工程師資格互認與工程製度創新探究」聚焦大灣區青年工程師關心的話題進行討論。會議期間孟家榮會長相約廣東省科協專職副主席范主席探討營造師進一步互認工作及六月份學會參訪的安排。

2023 RTHK Live Broadcast Radio Programme – BackchatHKICM President Cr Terence Mang was invited to join the live program-Backchat of RTHK3 this morning to discuss the latest guidelines on heat strokes at work together with lawmaker Hon Lam Chun Sing and other guests. Council Member Cr Tomy Wong was there to support as well.
