This insightful seminar features the Kwu Tung North Area 24 (KTN 24) Dedicated Rehousing Estate, one of the most representative large-scale MiC public housing projects under the Northern Metropolis development blueprint. Facing tight construction timelines, constrained site logistics and rigorous rehousing schedules, the project has adopted refined advanced MiC strategies to overcome typical industry challenges and achieve reliable, high-quality residential delivery for public housing.
The session will share the project’s proven MiC implementation model, covering optimised modular DfMA design, systematic factory prefabrication standardisation, precise interfacing solutions and streamlined on-site erection workflows. Attendees will acquire practical site-tested quality control techniques that effectively minimise wet trades, enhance construction consistency and resolve common technical hurdles in high-density MiC residential projects. Client-side governance and multi-party coordination mechanisms critical for successful MiC delivery will also be thoroughly explained.
The talk will further demonstrate the project’s robust construction details, quality surveillance, proactive logistics planning and comprehensive risk mitigation regimes that underpin its stable and safe construction progress. It will conclude with key deliverable outcomes in terms of substantial programme improvement, elevated site safety standards and enhanced construction sustainability. This exclusive project sharing offers valuable, forward-looking reference for engineers and industry professionals pursuing future MiC and smart construction developments across Hong Kong’s New Development Areas.
