HKICM organised the Workshop for Sustainable and Innovative Coating and held successfully on 16 May 2026.
Mr. Kit WONG (Assistant General Manager of SKKHK) shared with the participants the sustainable and innovative technology of Pre-Fabricated Sheet Coating System, Roller Type & Spray Type Granite Like Coating System and Fair-Face Like Concrete Protection System, Special Theme Paint, Velvet Effect Coating and Anti-Graffiti Paint from design, manufacturing, delivery, application on site and operation & maintenance. The comparison was presented between the sustainable and innovative coating system and traditional finishing materials for the performance in carbon footprint, thickness, weight, material cost per m2, application time, flexibility, maintenance, cutting and construction safety.
After the sharing presentation, the participants were divided into groups for the hands-on trial guided by technicians and supporting staff from SKKHK.
Cr Betty LO (Chairperson of HKICM CPD Committee), Cr Alvin MAN (Deputy Chairperson of HKICM CPD Committee) and Cr Angel MAN (Member of HKICM CPD Committee) jointly presented a certificate of appreciation to Mr. Kit WONG.
