Special thanks to Cr Walter Lee (Project in charge, CMA 2022 Construction Manager Award) leaded the whole presentation and site visit. He guided us to visit 1M Communal Garden, 6/F Production Unit and G/F logistic Centre, shared the experiences and challenges as a project in charge and demonstrating the professionalism and expertise of a Construction Manager. Also, Cr Wilson Lee shared the experience of digital management in the project and demonstrate the application on site and Ms Tracy Chan shared the management experiences of building services installation and latest techniques in BIM, DfMA, MEP Module and MiMEP application. Excellent arrangement of the HKICM CMA 2022 Award Winning Project – Advanced Manufacturing Centre (AMC) visit including professional presentation and sharing with the participants.
AMC has implemented Construction 2.0 and Industrial 4.0 initiatives successfully in Design for Manufacture and Assembly (DfMA) in the form of prefabrication of MEP systems and precast reinforced concrete construction have significantly reduced on-site labour resources, safety risk for working at height and construction time. Building Information Modelling (BIM) and Common Data Environment (CDE) have allowed for sharing, collaborating and versioning in order to optimize building design and construction process, detect design clashes and control construction wastage and cost.Digital Works Supervision System (DWSS), comprising mobile apps, dashboard and real-time alerts, has supported tasks of inspection process in seamless and eco-friendly manner that enhance project management.
AMC team has also obtained various awards in HKICM CMA 2022 [Large Scale Project category]: Excellent Construction Team Award – Grand, Construction Manager Award – Merit, Site Manager Award – Grand, Building Services Coordinator Award – Grand, Engineer Award – Grand, Quantity Surveyor Award – Grand, EHS Officer Award – Merit, Construction Supervisor Award – Grand.
Gammon had a presentation in TERA of Data Technology Hub followed by a site walk.
