Driving Breakthroughs for Hong Kong’s Private Building Repair Works: Joint Professional Forum Concludes Successfully

3 November 2026

The Joint Professional Forum: Challenges and Breakthroughs of Private Building Repair Works in Hong Kong (「聯合專業論壇:香港私人樓宇維修工程的挑戰與破局」) concluded with resounding success on 2 November. We are immensely grateful to the over 4,500 professionals who enrolled and joined us both in person at PolyU and online via our live stream.

Staged immediately after the HKSAR Government’s release of the Independent Committee investigation report and its announced reforms on 29 October, the forum served as a vital and timely platform. Our cross-disciplinary discussions focused heavily on operationalizing the newly introduced measures, refining implementation frameworks and perfecting system-wide reforms.

Our sincere thanks go to our Guest of Honour, Ir Prof. Michael YAM Chi-ho, our Forum Moderator, and our distinguished panel of expert speakers representing the co-organizers, including HKIS, HKIA, HKIE, HKICM, PMSA, HKAPMC, and PolyU CMI.

We especially thank PolyU CMI and BREDAA for their exceptional venue arrangements and technical webinar support. Thank you to all co-organizers, supporting organizations, and attendees. Together, we continue to uphold public safety and sustainable excellence in Hong Kong’s building repair works.
