Official Launching of the New Standard Form of Building Contract 2025
Further to the issue of the pre-launching on 29 August 2025, we are pleased to announce the official launch of the new Standard Form of Building Contract:
1. Agreement & Schedule of Conditions of Building Contract for use in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (Private Edition): Option 1 – With Quantities, and Option 2 – Without Quantities (2025 Edition),
2. Agreement & Schedule of Conditions of Nominated Sub-Contract for use in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (2025 Edition),
3. Agreement & Schedule of Conditions of Nominated Supply Contract for use in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (2025 Edition), collaboratively developed by:
- The Hong Kong Institute of Architects (HKIA)
- The Hong Kong Institute of Construction Managers (HKICM)
- The Hong Kong Institute of Surveyors (HKIS)
and expertly drafted by legal professionals at Messrs. Pinsent Masons.
You are cordially invited to join the launching ceremony, which will be co-hosted by the President of the HKIA, the HKICM, and the HKIS, as follows:

The new contracts have considered the requirements of the enacted Security of Payment Ordinance, as well as the valuable and constructive advice collected from a series of consultations with industry stakeholders and the contributions of the dedicated members of the 3 Institutes.
There will be e-copies of these new forms and the date of release will be announced when the e-platform is ready.
Copies of the new forms will be available on 6 January 2026, and the prices are as follows:
