Organized by Young Members Committee (the Committee) with support from CR Construction Company Limited and Bright Dream Robotics, the visit to MiC Transitional Housing Project at Hung Shui Kiu, Yuen Long was successfully held on 17 February 2023.
The tour was well attended by a number of Committee officers and members, including Committee Chairman Cr Math Chan, Deputy Chairman Cr Eric Cheung together with our Honorary President Cr Paul Chung, Honorary Secretary Cr Ricky Li and HKICM young members.
Cr Chan said robotic construction has been an innovative construction method and a trend to solve the problem of continuous shortage of labour in construction industry.
This site visit demonstrates the operation of painting robot in an office area, in-depth insight, and considerations of Robotics Construction from planning, co-ordination, site operation, safety control and quality control. It was a highly informative and meaningful event, with many exchanges and interactions between the presenters and attendees. Thanks again to the efforts of the main contractor, CR Construction Company Limited and robotics vendor, Bright Dream Robotics for the excellent presentation and profound sharing.
