The HKICM SHE Committee was honored to serve as a Supporting Committee for the PolyU CEE-RCDfS Seminar -Design for Safety – Modular Integrated Construction (MiC),” held on Aug 20, 2025, at PolyU.
The speaker Ir Richard Lee, a pioneer in precast construction technology since 1993. Richard shared invaluable insights into construction cycle planning and precast component design, emphasizing how safety can be embedded from the earliest design stages of MiC projects.
MiC is transforming the construction industry by enhancing efficiency, quality, and sustainability. However, its success hinges on proactive safety strategies. Richard explored the principles of Design for Safety, offering practical guidelines, risk mitigation strategies, and real-life case studies to empower professionals in creating safer working environments.
