The HKICM 25th Anniversary Dinner cum Construction Management Awards (CMA) 2022 Presentation Ceremony was successfully held on Friday, 18 November 2022 at the Kerry Ballroom, Kerry Hotel Hong Kong in Hung Hom, Hong Kong. We were delighted to have Ir LAM Sai Hung, GBS, JP, Secretary for Transport and Logistics as our Guest-of-Honour as well as Mr. HO Sai Chu, GBM, GBS, JP, awardee of Outstanding Achievement Award, Ir Thomas HO On-sing, JP, Chairman, Construction Industry Council and Ms. YU Po Mei, JP, Director of Buildings, Buildings Department, Head Juror of CMA 2022 as VIP guests. In addition, nearly 480 distinguished guests and members joining us that evening, including officials from Government Departments and Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government in HKSAR, prominent figures from professional bodies and academic institutions, senior executives of major developers, consultants and contractors, delegates of trade organizations and associations as well as HKICM Honorary Fellows, Past Presidents, Councillors and members to join the event.
HKICM President Cr Conrad FUNG officiated the ceremony by sharing a welcome remark to greet all the distinguished guests and members. It was then followed by an opening address by the Guest-of-Honour, Ir LAM Sai Hung, GBS, JP, Secretary for Transport and Logistics. They highlighted the main theme of the event “Shape our Future – Cultivate Leaders” to recap the success and contributions done to the construction industry of Hong Kong, particularly in coping with the challenges of construction management, quality and safety.
A Memorandum of Intent signing ceremony was also held between HKICM and Hong Kong Institute of Construction, prior to the opening of the Anniversary Dinner and CMA 2022 presentation, to commemorate a closer working relationship with Construction Industry Council.
