CPD: Use of Mediation to resolve Construction Disputes in Hong Kong, jointly organised with HKIS QSD (3 March 2026)

The Hong Kong Mediation Council Limited (“HKMC”) is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Hong Kong International Arbitration Centre to promote the development and use of mediation as a method of resolving disputes in Hong Kong and in the region. HKMC has a mission of:

– promoting the development and use of mediation and other forms of Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR)
– encouraging collaboration amongst its members and with similar institutions or professional bodies
– facilitating exchange of information and ideas in relation to mediation and other forms of ADR
– training mediators and educating users of mediation

The HKMC Construction Mediation Division (“CMD”) is one of the sector-specific groups of HKMC concentrating its mediation activities in construction industry and areas relating to work contracts. The CMD is formed by a group of professionals and experienced mediators, and is providing voluntary mediation seminars to the government, professional firms, and tertiary institutions to introduce and to spread a culture of using mediation to resolve disputes amicably among parties, as an alternative to litigation.

  2. The talk will be conducted online via Zoom. Successful registrants will be notified separately via email with the meeting ID in due course to the online event .
