Congratulation on Honorary Fellow Mr Chan Ka-kui’s conferment of Gold Bauhinia Star (GBS) award by HKSAR Government

We were delighted to learn that our Honorary Fellow Mr Chan Ka-kui, SBS, JP has been awarded Gold Bauhinia Star (GBS) by the Government today. The presentation ceremony for the awards will be held later this year, considering the social distancing measures then in force.

Hon Fellow Mr Chan is awarded GBS for his exemplary public and community services over the years, in particular his outstanding and strategic contributions to the construction industry. During his tenure as the Chairman of the Construction Industry Council, Hon Fellow Mr CHAN spearheaded various initiatives for the professional development of the industry, image building, fostering solidarity of the construction personnel, advocating site safety, enhancing training, attracting new blood, as well as promoting use of innovation and technology in the industry and enhancing its sustainability. We believe that Hon Fellow Mr Chan will continue to excel in his own fields and serve the community.


As a professional institute, we will continue to discharge our missions to uphold standards and promote professional construction management practices. We would complement the governance of the Government and will act in concert to resolve the pressing issues for the best interest and a brighter future of Hong Kong. We look forward to continuous and positive interaction with the Government for benefit of the construction industry of Hong Kong.
