HKICM, Energy Institute, Hong Kong Institution of Engineers (Environmental Division), Building Services Operation and Maintenance Executives Society, and Asian Institute of Intelligent Building jointly organized the CPD “Building Green with Gypsum Block Walls: Unlocking the potential of self-standing 9m high walls without stiffeners and exploring ways to achieve energy-efficient construction and maintenance throughout its life cycle” on 16 May 2024.
Ms. Wendy NG, Ms. Mandie LI, and Ir Dr. CY Chan from GREENTECH Building Material Ltd, speakers for the CPD, shared their professional knowledge and experience of the gypsum block Wall System with the audience. They discussed their experiences of applying the GREENTECH Gypsum Block Walling System in different types of buildings using project references. The effective and sustainable ways to achieve benefits for different stakeholders, including Architects, Designers, Developers, and Contractors, in terms of cost, time, and quality were highlighted. Importantly, the webinar uncovered the energy-efficient construction and maintenance of the green product throughout its life cycle. The CPD was highly informative and meaningful with lots of exchanges and interactions among the speakers and participants.
