星島日報 – 工程界掀搶人潮 3年需額外聘數萬人

(星島日報報道)除了建造費用昂貴,人手短缺也是建築界面對最嚴峻的問題之一,惟未來建築工程量龐大,社會對建築業的需求日益提高。近日一項人力資源研究報告顯示,未來三年內,業界每年需要額外約一萬個人力資源。面對本港步入工業4.0及綠色建築的新趨勢,業界需要不少技術專才,運用智慧創新科技建設優質建築,以增強香港的吸引力和推動可持續發展。

鄧智宏:有錢都請唔到人

優質建築大獎二○二二籌委會主席鄧智宏形容,大獎為建築業的「奧斯卡大獎」,由九個專業團體聯合主辦,每個類別均設獎項。他分享,與早前籌委會及評審開會討論均發現,業界人手不足,「有錢都請唔到人,周圍都搶緊」。

VTC最近進行人力資源研究報告,結果顯示二○二二至二五年,建築、土木工程及建造環境業每年需要額外約一萬個人力資源,包括一千五百位專業人士/技師、二千六百名技術員及五千六百名熟練及半熟練技工。

今年財政預算案提到,政府持續投資基建,建造業工程總值會增至每年約三千億元。此外,未來十年的建屋目標量將大升至三十三萬個公營及十萬個私營房屋,以現時每年少於兩萬公營建屋量計算,即建屋量於未來十年將大幅提升近一倍。

身兼評審團成員及VTC副執行幹事廖世樂認為,職專教育是香港一個培育人才的重要機構。當中職學計畫由VTC、業界及政府三方協作推行,透過職場培訓和課堂學習雙軌並行模式,讓學生可長時間培養專業技能,畢業後更快適應職場環境,為建築業培訓新血。

現時社會對建造業所採用的現代建築方法和技術、資訊科技及自動化技術的需求有所提高;同時為推動可持續發展概念,環保與安全法亦非常重要。鄧智宏指,過程衍生出不少新的技術專才,例如建築信息協調員(BIM Coordinator)、經理(BIM Manager);又或者是香港綠色建築議會認可的綠建專才(BEAM Pro),年輕人可朝多方向發展職業。

Mr Joseph Chung
