香港01 – 尖沙咀四級火|海員之家火災 帝國集團配合調查、責成承辦商跟進

新地郭氏家族第二代郭炳湘創立的帝國集團,旗下尖沙咀中間道11號前海員之家的重建地盤,昨日發生四級火警。帝國集團回覆《香港01》表示,就昨晚發生的火警,本集團正全力配合政府部門的調查,並已責成承辦商作出適當跟進。

涉事的尖沙咀中間道11號重建地盤,為前海員之家,物業為已故商人郭炳湘旗下帝國集團的重建項目。於3月2日晚上11時許,項目地盤高層位置突冒出火光,火勢愈趨猛烈,最終升級至四級火警。

營造師學會:需據地盤特性作風險評估

就尖沙咀中間道地盤發生四級火警,香港營造師學會會長孟家榮表示,學會呼籲營造師除了與地盤管理人員按現行法例要求作出相應的安全措施外,更需要根據各自地盤的特性而作出全面風險評估,制定適當的防火方案,以確保地盤安全。例如熱工作工序許可、安排人員收工前進行巡查以確保沒有留下任何火種等。

另外,他指出,學會期望政府正視前線監工註冊制度的重要性。透過發牌制度,確保前線監工水平,了解最新技術發展包括防火的要求,為應付未來香港每年約3,000億元的工程總量作好準備。

資料顯示,項目由郭炳湘於2018年投得,當時預計投資額達60億元,並計劃重建為42層高的綜合大樓,低層用作海員會所,9樓以上為酒店,提供約500間客房,並引入美國金普頓品牌(KIMPTON)負責營運。

原定2023年落成 因疫情延至2024年開業

項目原定2023年落成,不過,郭炳湘次子郭基浩早前接受《香港01》訪問時透露,因應疫情關係,項目會延至2024年才開業。

郭基浩又指,前海員之家作為帝國集團首個獨資發展的酒店項目,未來將主攻年輕及商務客源,酒店全部房間均可望維港海景。
