HKICM President Cr Daniel SHUM together with fellow Councilors, including Cr CW TANG (Immediate Past President), Cr Dr Billy LEE (Vice President), Cr Terence MANG (Vice President), Cr Simon LEUNG (Honorary Secretary) and Cr CHAN Chi-man (Chairman of Public & Social Affairs Committee) accompanied by Mr Rocky Chow (Secretary General), have paid a courtesy visit to the Central and Western (C&W) District Office of Home Affairs Department (HAD) on 8 January 2019 (Tuesday). The delegate was warmly greeted by Mrs Susanne WONG, JP (Central and Western District Officer), Ms Brenda CHENG (Senior Liaison Officer) and Ms Joanne LEE (Officer-in-charge (Western)).
During the meeting, the delegate was firstly briefed and updated by Mrs Susanne WONG on the latest activities, programmes and development of the Central and Western (C&W) District Office. Open discussions and opinions were then exchanged on district matters, such as development of the district's community facilities, use of open spaces by local organisations in the district to organise activities for residents, especially on activities that have district characteristics and support children to get involved with the local community.
At the end of the meeting, President SHUM assured the District Officer on the willingness and readiness of HKICM to strengthening its collaboration with HAD in providing community and voluntary services as well as advisory services on construction-related issues.
