“Creating a Smarter City by Indoor Mapping System”


Jointly organized by Hong Kong Institute of Construction Managers (HKICM) and Hong Kong Institute of Project Management (HKIPM), co-organized by Department of Building and Real Estate, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, supported by The Australia Institute of Building – Hong Kong (AIB HK), The Hong Kong Institute of Clerks of Works (HKICW) and The Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB - Hong Kong), the registration of the CPD Seminar on "Creating a Smarter City by Indoor Mapping Systemhas been launched.

Highlights:

People spend around 80% of their daily time indoors. How online map system makes things easy for people is a question. The guest speaker and his team would build up a full stack map and data services by combining location-based big data, visual maps, signal maps and digital maps to develop a smart indoor mapping system for a smarter city. The guest speaker’s team would build an indoor mapping system to suit the needs of different stakeholders such as commercial, industrial, government bodies and NGOs. The positioning service system include the latest AR and VR technology. The guest speaker would also inspire on the indoor positioning idea in project management and the construction industry.
